Spring Hike I

One day Mohsin and I, desiring some exercise, set out for a short jog in and around Kharabsheh. We set as our goal some mysteriously labeled Forests, e.g. "President Jawdat Sunay Forest" (who is President Jawdat Sunay??? - Jordan doesn't even have a President), northeast of where we lived. Along the way we strayed from the roadway and stumbled into some of the most stunning scenery I have yet seen in Jordan. And to think it was right next door!

A few days later my roomates and I decided to venture out to watch the sun rise and eat our breakfast amidst its beauty.

This picure was taken of us while the sun was still coming up. In the background could be heard the braying of donkeys and a chorus of shepherd dogs having an early- morning conversation.
