Sultan Hasan Mosque I

A placard mounted outside Sultan Hasan mosque, one of the masterpieces of Mamluk architecture. The building was commissioned by the then teenage Sultan and never finished - he was assassinated before he could see its completion.
I wondered if the posters of the sign were aware of the theologically problematic nature of what is written. "AD" means, "Anno Domini" i.e. "In the Year of our Lord". As Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet and not God incarnate, perhaps C.E. would be better a choice?
